Cyberabad Police destroyed 833.118 kg of seized narcotics worth Rs 5.02 crore, linked to 101 NDPS Act cases. The contraband, including marijuana, MDMA, alprazolam and hashish oil, was incinerated under official supervision following environmental pollution control norms.
Hyderabad police arrested five people for allegedly selling and supplying drugs in the city. Hashish oil, ganja and other property worth Rs 70 lakh were seized. Police said the drugs were sourced from Odisha and sold locally.
