Cyberabad police intensify efforts to nab choreographer Jani Master over sexual assault case
The woman had alleged that she had joined Jani Master and started working as an assistant choreographer and during film shootings she was sexually assaulted by him several times
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police intensified its efforts to nab choreographer Shaik Jani alias Jani Master, who had allegedly sexually assaulted a woman assistant choreographer.
The victim had made a complaint at the Raidurgam police station last week following which a case was registered against Jani Master. The case later on grounds of jurisdiction was transferred to Narsingi police station.
The woman had alleged that she had joined Jani Master and started working as an assistant choreographer and during film shootings she was sexually assaulted by him several times.
She also alleged that Jani Master had threatened to kill her if she revealed about it to any one. The police had information that the Jani Master had fled to some location in North India and a team was sent there to nab him.
Meanwhile, the police had added different Sections of POCSO Act after the victim in her statement told she was sexually assaulted by Jani Master since she was a minor.
The police had recorded the statement of the victim at Bharosa centre and based on it Sections of POCSO were invoked against him.
On the other hand, Karate Kalyani, a local leader alleged it was a case of ‘love jihad’ and Jani Master had trapped the girl and was forcing her to convert to Islam.
