Cyberabad: Police look to ensure calm after Mailardevpally murder

Hyderabad: Following panic among the public in the wake of the recent murder of Mohammed Asad at Mailardevpally last month, a massive vehicle checking operation was conducted in the area on Tuesday night by the Cyberabad police.
N Prakash Reddy, DCP (Shamshabad), who was present in the area for around three hours, said the vehicle checking was done at the many places in Vattepally, Shastripuram and Hassannagar to instill confidence in the people.
“The police patrol teams are ensuring all the shops are closed by 11 pm. No person is being allowed to move around in the area,” he said.
Prakash Reddy also said special focus was on the movements of rowdy sheeters and suspects.
“Our teams are conducting surprise checking at the houses of rowdy sheeters. We have warned them against indulging in any criminal activities,” he said.
