Cyberabad SOT nabs two in Methamphetamine bust at Jeedimetla

In a joint anti-drug operation, Cyberabad SOT and Jeedimetla police arrested two individuals at Chinthal for possession of 316 grams of methamphetamine valued at Rs 63.2 lakh.

Hyderabad: In a swift anti-drug operation, the Cyberabad SOT officials along with Jeedimetla police arrested two persons involved in the methamphetamine trade at Chinthal on Friday.

The suspects, V Sai Kumar, identified as a peddler, and Tirumala Arvind alias Maari, a consumer, were caught with 316 grams of methamphetamine worth Rs 63.2 lakh.

However, during further investigation, officials found that both were drug addicts.

The main supplier, Poojith from Quthbullapur, is currently absconding, and efforts are on to trace him and other linked consumers, police said.
