Dalit Bandhu: Preparatory meeting held in Huzurabad

Karimnagar: A preparatory meeting to take selected Dalits to an awareness programme on Dalit Bandhu to be held under the chair of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in Pragathi Bhavan, Hyderabad, on Monday, held in Huzurabad on Sunday.
District Collector RV Karnan organised a meeting with MPDOs and MPOs to discuss arrangements to be taken to ferry Dalits to Hyderabad at the MLA camp office.
The Collector said that in order to implement the State government’s prestigious programme Dalit Bandhu in a perfect manner, the Chief Minister has decided to organise an awareness programme with selected Dalits from the Huzurabad constituency, wherein the scheme is going to be implemented on a pilot basis.
As part of the implementation of the scheme, a total of 427 Dalits including 15 resource persons were selected from the segment. Four persons including two men were picked up from each village. The Chief Minister will interact with 427 persons to discuss the pros and cons in a daylong session on Monday.
Karnan instructed the officials to make all necessary arrangements to reach all the selected people to Huzurabad by 6 am and take them to Hyderabad without any difficulties.
Additional Collectors GV Shyamprasad Lal and Garima Agarwal, DRDOs Srilatha Reddy (Karimnagar) and Srinivas (Warangal urban) participated in the meeting.
