Dance therapy session held for children with intellectual disabilities at NIEPID
The WICCI Holistic Child Development Council and NGO Marham Resonating Resilience held a dance therapy session titled ‘Land of Happy’ at NIEPID, Secunderabad. The event, led by Bharatanatyam artist Sohini Roychowdhury, focused on inclusion and healing through movement.

Hyderabad: The WICCI Holistic Child Development Council, in partnership with NGO Marham Resonating Resilience, recently hosted a dance therapy session titled ‘Land of Happy’, at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID), Bowenpally, Secunderabad.
In the special session, which was led by noted Bharatanatyam exponent Sohini Roychowdhury, the NIEPID students engaged in movement-based therapy that celebrated inclusion, healing, and the joy of expression through dance, a press release said.
Anupama Dalmia, national president of the WICCI Holistic Child Development Council, on the occasion said the programme was a step towards building bridges through art and movement, making inclusion a lived reality.
Dr. Srinivasulu, who heads the vocational department of assisted living at NIEPID said that such initiatives reinforce the importance of inclusive platforms for holistic child development.
Dr. Nabat, Founder of Marham and Payal Jain, Health & Nutrition Lead of the Council and others were present.
