Yadadri-Bhongir: After five years, the devotees will get the chance to have a darshan of swayambhu Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy in the developed main temple at Yadadri from March 28. On the occasion of its reopening after renovation, the temple would be decked up with colorful flowers and special arrangements would be made on the hill shrine.

Arrangements were completed for conduct of panchakundathmaka homam in Balalayam for seven days ie from March 21 to 28 as a part of maha kumbha samprokshana at Yadadri. In all, 108 ruthwiks would participate in panchakundathmaka homam. The Commissioner of Endowments already issued an order deputing the ruthwiks and veda pandits of different temples for the purpose of maha kumbha samprokshana at Yadadri. They would reach Yadadri by the evening of March 20.


Speaking at a media conference held in her chamber, temple Executive Officer N Geetha said that Maha Kumbha samprokshana would be performed to vimana gopurams of main temple at 11.55 am on March 28. Fixing the gold kalashas to vimana gopurams was already completed. The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao would attend maha kumbha samprokshana at main temple. No devotees would be allowed onto the hill shrine until completion of maha kumbha samprokshana and other pooja programmes at main temple on March 28. There was chance for allowing the devotees onto the hill shrine after 3 pm on the day for darshan of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy at the main temple.

All are invitees for seven day homam at Balalayam

There would be no special invitation for anyone for the seven day homam at Balalayam as all are invitees. She informed that panchakundathmaka homam would begin with swasthi vachan by temple priests at 9 am and would conclude with purnahuthi on morning of March 28. Under the aegis of temple main priest, presiding deities would be shifted to main temple from Balalayam after punahuthi.

Online ticket system with geo-tagging from March 29

She told that online ticket system would be launched at Yadadri from March 29 and a counter was made available near bus terminal on the hill shrine. Every devotee would be geo-tagged, which would facilitate the officials about how many devotees present on the hill shrine. The movement of the buses onto the hill shrine would be decided based on the rush of the devotees at the temple, she added. She said that Lakshmi pushkarini, kalyana katta and anna prasada sathram were readied. The works of Sathyanarayana vratha mandapam would complete in week, she added.
