Hyderabad: BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao extended Dasara greetings to the people of Telangana, calling the festival a symbol of victory of righteousness and hope for collective progress.
Wishing prosperity for all, he prayed to Goddess Durga to bless the people of Telangana with strength, happiness, and success, urging that lives move from defeat to victory.
In a statement, Chandrashekhar Rao said that, celebrated as Vijaya Dashami, the festival holds a special place in Telangana alongside Bathukamma and Devi Navaratri. He recalled that the spirit of Dasara also inspired the struggle for a separate state and later guided Telangana towards growth during his decade-long rule.
The BRS chief reminded everyone that his government had declared the Jammi tree as the State tree and the Palapitta as the State bird, respecting the cultural uniqueness of the festival.
