The death toll in the blast at Agarwal Steel Company in Medak district rose to two after another injured worker succumbed, prompting families to demand compensation and jobs from the management.

Medak: The death toll in the blast at Agarwal Steel Company rose to two on Thursday after another worker succumbed to his injuries. The blast occurred at the steel company located at Rangaipally in Manoharabad mandal on Tuesday due to a technical glitch, leaving several workers injured.

One worker, Saransh Kumar (35), died on the spot, while Rajesh Pandey (53) sustained serious injuries and was undergoing treatment. Pandey succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning.


Meanwhile, the families of the deceased workers demanded that the management extend ex gratia and provide employment to family members.
