Later, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud claimed that he was not aware of Chandrashekhar Reddy’s visit to Gandhi Bhavan.

“When he arrived here, we were in a press meet and I spoke to him over phone. We do not have any personal animosity with Allu Arjun,” Goud said.

Meanwhile, Congress MLA Yennem Srinivas Reddy said Telugu film stars do not help the poor and needy and were more focused about their careers.

“Most Telugu people, if they need any financial assistance or any other help from the film industry, they call Bollywood actor Sonu Sood. Our film stars, who claim to be superstars, do not understand our society and fail on the humanity parameter,” Srinivas Reddy said.

“The Telugu film industry earns lot of revenue through ticket price hikes but when there was a calamity, the film personalities do not respond. Did they extend any assistance to any hospital or a village?” he asked.

The Mahabubnagar MLA also said that on the contrary, the Tamil film industry responds to public and social issues, including River Cauvery. Superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan’s promote social service activities through their fans association.

“Save for Chiranjeevi, who set up blood donation banks, did our superstars appeal to their fans to take up such service?” he asked, also asking why couldn’t each of the actors adopt 20 government schools or hospitals.
