The Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and a few other cabinet Ministers, were in Belgavi to participate in the Congress Working Committee meeting on Thursday.
Chandrashekhar Reddy, a senior leader from Nalgonda, arrived at Gandhi Bhavan to meet the AICC in-charge. However, when he attempted to meet Deepadas Munshi in her office, she declined to meet him. Unable to secure a meeting, he left Gandhi Bhavan feeling disappointed.
Heated arguments broke out between Congress leaders on multiple issues, especially the filling up of nominated posts at the Greater Hyderabad review meeting in Gandhi Bhavan on Monday.
After raising objections over protocol being extended to turncoat MLAs, Congress leaders are now not participating in the programmes chaired by these MLAs.
Stating that the defection of MLAs was being encouraged after getting the AICC's approval, Goud said the MLAs were not being compelled nor were they being assured any posts.
CM Revanth Reddy, who is also the TPCC president, admitted that there was a lack of coordination and that the PCC did not take the necessary steps which had led to the situation where MLC T Jeevan Reddy had threatened to resign from his post.
