Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A 22-year-old woman died, allegedly by suicide, as she was depressed over her puberty being delayed at Goleti village in Rebbena mandal on Sunday night.
Police said that Chintakuntla Sandya, a daily wage earner and eldest daughter of Pocham, consumed pesticide as she was saddened over the delay in puberty. She was rushed to a hospital in Bellampalli. She breathed her last while undergoing treatment on Monday.
Her parents said Sandya was unhappy over the delay in puberty. They claimed that they had provided treatment to her by consulting doctors and were instilling confidence in her, but in vain.
