Delhi Public School, Nacharam organised a certification ceremony for the students of class V and VI to honour their achievement in the academic year gone by. The academic year 2020-2021 was truly unique as the classes were conducted only through the online mode. So, the annual event of certification ceremony reflected the school’s appreciation and recognition of aspects beyond academics too, the school said.
Students adapted to the new mode of learning with great felicity. Considering the ease with which they transitioned seamlessly, the awards were given under the following categories viz. hundred percent attendance, active participation, neatly dressed, always-on camera mode, best behavior, all-rounder, prompt task submission and tech-wiz award.
The glittering event began with a classical dance performance followed by the address by Principal Sunitha Rao and Vice-Principal ISudha who applauded the enthusiasm, energy and perseverance displayed by the students. Dr. Mohammad Jafurulla, Senior Scientific Officer, CCMB was the chief guest who had a word of praise for the awardees and exhorted them to outdo themselves.
The special awards were constituted as the online mode has exposed the creative streak of students, unlike the regular physical mode. The event had all the usual ingredients such as motivational speeches, cultural extravaganza and the curtains were drawn to a fitting finale.
