Delhi Public School: Over 2,000 vaccinated at special drive
A mass vaccination drive was organised by the Delhi Public School, Nacharam in association with Rainbow Hospitals.
Caring about people, about life is an act of maturity. In a society marred by fear and uncertainty due to Covid pandemic, DPS Nacharam has come forward to assure its employees, parents, alumni and the members of their families a secured life.
A mass vaccination drive was organised by the Delhi Public School, Nacharam in association with Rainbow Hospitals, advocating the need to get priority access to the vaccination, at its campus on June 19.
The vaccination drive was inaugurated by Additional Commissioner of Police Traffic Anil Kumar IPS, MLA Subhas Bethi Reddy, Corporator Pannala Devender Reddy, Saizen Shekhar Corporator, Addl. DCP Bhaskar, Chief Operating Officer DPS and Pallavi Group of Institutions Malka Yasasvi graced the event and congratulated chairman M Komaraiah and principal Sunitha Rao for the noble and noteworthy initiative.
Members of the management Pranai and Murali, Director Operations-DPS felicitated the guests. Speaking on the occasion, Yasasvi addressed the audience and apprised them of the initiatives taken by the school as a leap towards community health. ACP Anil Kumar, MLA Subhas Reddy applauded school management for extending the vaccine drive to the parents and school staff.
Around 2000 people have been administered first and second doses of vaccine as per the safety norms and requirements.
Sr. vice principal Nandita Sunkara, vice-principal Gowri along with Head HR and Admn Saritha, IT manager Shravan, PRO Robin Michael and school staff supervised the entire process and played a pivotal role in making the drive a huge success. Separate counter for senior citizens with a battery-operated car and personalized assistance were provided for quick process. The staff appreciated the management for providing them with insurance as soon as the pandemic started.
Contented staff and parents commended the proactive step taken by the school management in ensuring the safety of its associates, their families as a token of community commitment.
