Hyderabad: At least 35 registrations were carried out fraudulently in survey numbers pertaining to the lands belonging to Sri Sita Rama Swamy temple at Devaryamjal in Medchal Malkajgiri district. The ACB and Vigilance officials, who are probing the encroachment of endowment lands at Devaryamjal, have reportedly confirmed the fraudulent registrations to the IAS officers’ committee appointed by the State government.
The ACB and Vigilance authorities who are investigating the allegations of land encroachment against former Minister Eatala Rajender, have stumbled upon more irregularities. It is learnt that nearly 100 acres were fraudulently transferred from the endowment lands to others through 35 registrations over a four year period.
“While about 23 registrations were done through the Shamirpet sub-registrar’s office, another 11 registrations were carried out through the sub-registrar’s offices of Secunderabad, Vallabhpur, Balanagar, Malkajgiri, Maheshwaram and Kukatpally misusing the government’s new facility of carrying out registration from any sub-registrar’s offices,” sources said. One registration was carried out based on court orders.
The ACB and Vigilance authorities have reportedly seized some files pertaining to these registrations along with the link and other documents including identity of those who got the lands transferred in their names and also the officials who registered these lands.
