Distressed cotton farmer dies by suicide in Adilabad
Cotton farmer kills himself by consuming pesticide after being distressed over a poor yield. A case was registered. Investigation is underway

Adilabad: A 48-year-old cotton farmer, who consumed pesticide after being distressed over a poor yield, died while undergoing treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) here on Monday.
Police said that Kanaka Yadav tried to kill himself as he was disheartened by a drastic dip in the yield at Charlapalli village on Sunday night. He raised cotton crop in his 5 acres of land by borrowing loans from local banks and moneylenders. The quantum of loans was yet to be known.
Lalitha, wife of Yadav lodged a complaint with the police. A case was registered. Investigations were taken up.
