A 34-year-old woman, Muthi Gangasheela, and her newborn died at RIMS Adilabad following complications after delivery. The family alleged medical negligence and filed a police complaint. An inquiry has been initiated by RIMS Director Dr. Jaisingh Rathod.
RIMS-Adilabad director Dr. Rathod Jaisingh shared details of the recent surgeries, highlighting how doctors successfully gave a new lease of life to Ramojiwar Santhosh from Adilabad town and Naitam Laxmi Bai from Palsi (K) village in Thalamadugu mandal. Santhosh was diagnosed with Lumbar Degenerative Spine Disease, while Laxmi had suffered a head injury that led to loss of consciousness and brain blood clots.
RIMS-Adilabad director Dr Jaisingh Rathod said doctors led by Dr Karthik of the Urology department carried out the surgery on the toddler and removed kidney stones from her body using laser technology.
He along with additional director of health department Dr Amar Singh Naik participated in a national sickle cell and anemia elimination mission programme held on the premises of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) here on Thursday.
Vijayalaxmi lied to the authorities of the district jail saying that she had severe stomach ache after consuming pieces of a disposable blade before she was arrested.
