Nearly 3,000 applications pending on Bhu Bharati portal in Mancherial

Mancherial: Nearly 3,000 applications are pending on the Bhu Bharati single window online platform for land records in the district, according to officials.
Officials said 60,602 applications were received in the district since the inception of the portal, then Dharani, in 2020. Of these, 29,017 applications were approved and 21,773 were rejected citing duplication and lack of grounds for resolving the issues, as on December 21. At present, 1,258 applications are pending at the Tahsildar level, 1,214 at the Revenue Divisional Officer level and 318 documents are pending at the Collector level.
The Mancherial revenue division, comprising 11 mandals, accounted for 43,168 applications on the portal, while the Bellampalli division, which has seven mandals, registered 17,434 applications relating to various grievances. Dandepalli mandal in the Mancherial division stands at the top with 6,285 applications, while Naspur mandal has recorded the lowest number at 1,326.
In the Bellampalli revenue division, Kasipet topped the list with 3,030 applications, while Vemanapalli mandal figured at the bottom with 1,251 applications. Of the 29,017 applications approved by officials, 21,062 pertained to the Mancherial revenue division, while 7,955 were cleared in the Bellampalli division.
Among the applications rejected by officials, the Mancherial division accounted for 15,116 cases and the Bellampalli division for 6,657. Dandepalli mandal recorded the highest number of rejections at 2,164, while Naspur saw 649 applications rejected. In the Bellampalli division, Kasipet mandal accounted for 1,264 rejected applications, while Vemanapalli mandal recorded 314.
Officials said steps were being taken to clear the pending applications at the earliest to avoid inconvenience to applicants. They advised the public not to fall prey to middlemen to get their grievances addressed through the portal and cautioned that certain persons were luring applicants by promising speedy processing in return for money.
