Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has instructed officials of Civil Supplies Department to make arrangements for distribution of new ration cards to eligible persons from July 26 to 31.
He asked Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar to make arrangements in this regard. About 3.6 lakh people have already applied for the ration cards. The Chief Minister said the distribution of ration cards should be taken up in all constituencies under the supervision of Ministers and MLAs concerned. He asked Civil Supplies Commissioner Anil Kumar to make arrangements to ensure that the new beneficiaries get the ration supplies from August.
Meanwhile, Prohibition and Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud thanked the Chief Minister for effecting promotions in the Excise Department. The postings to officers and other employees who were promoted would be issued shortly, he said. The Minister said vacancies in the Excise Department would be filled through Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) shortly.
The State government effected promotions in the department in the cadre of Prohibition and Excise (P&E) Inspector to the Assistant Excise Superintendent (28), Assistant Chemical Examiner to Chemical Examiner (3), Office Superintendent to Staff Officer (5), P&E Sub Inspector to P&E Inspector (52) and Senior Assistant to Office Superintendents (27), Junior Assistant to Senior Assistant (47).
