DNA tests on second blood samples key to identifying eight missing in Sigachi accident
Officials have sent second blood samples of relatives of eight missing workers in the Sigachi Industries blast to CFSL after initial DNA tests failed. Nearly 100 body parts are being matched as search operations continue at the Sangareddy accident site.

Sangareddy: Officials are now relying on DNA reports from second blood samples sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) to identify the eight persons who went missing after the accident at Sigachi Industries Limited on June 30.
As the initial samples failed to yield conclusive results, authorities arranged transport for the relatives of the missing workers to facilitate fresh sample collection. These second blood samples were collected on Sunday and dispatched to CFSL for analysis.
Sources said nearly 100 mutilated body parts and bloodstained remains were also sent to the laboratory for matching and identification.
Meanwhile, search operations are still underway at the blast site, with workers combing through the debris for any additional remains or evidence.
The eight missing persons were Rahul Kumar Sharma (Uttar Pradesh), G Venkatesh (Andhra Pradesh), S Ravi (Telangana), S Justin (Telangana), Vijay Kumar Nishad (Bihar), Akilesh Kuka Nishad (Bihar), Irfan Ansari (Jharkhand), and Shivaji Kumar (Bihar).
