Hyderabad: Delhi Public School, Nadergul celebrated library week from November 22-26 exploring different avenues holding the hands of different genres.
From role-play, the story with a twist, logo designing, to extempore – it didn’t stop. Sometimes characters walked onstage holding the hands of the authors, and sometimes it made a way through the pages of the books during DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time. The events witnessed the zeal and enthusiasm of the students.
Authors including Aparna Athreya, Deepa Agarwal, Sonia Duggal, and Nupur Agarwal from the world of children’s literature graced the occasion with their presence in the storytelling sessions. They not only interacted with the children but shared their world of experiences with the avid readers and little bookworms.
The curtains were dropped with the surprise of a book fair organised by the school. Children got the opportunity to pick, turn and explore and returned with the pages of enlightenment.
