Hyderabad: We find patterns in math and patterns in nature, art, music, and literature as well. Patterns provide a sense of order in what might otherwise appear chaotic.
It is found that understanding and being able to identify recurring patterns allow the kids to make educated guesses, assumptions and hypothesis. It helps them to develop important skills of critical thinking and logic.
When we make kids create patterns with various objects available around, helps them build important foundations for future learning.
In order to attain this objective, the munchkins of grade I were made to create bracelets using different colours of straw pieces showing patterns. They also used vegetable dabbing, leaves and pencil shavings to create patterns with great excitement.
