Dr. Alok Singh, Professor in the School of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been appointed as an Area Editor of Applied Soft Computing.

Hyderabad: Dr. Alok Singh, Professor in the School of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been appointed as an Area Editor of Applied Soft Computing, a Q1 journal that publishes quality research in application, advancement and convergence of the areas of Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Evolutionary Computing, Swarm Intelligence and other similar techniques to address real world complexities.

The journal is published by Elsevier and has a current impact factor of 7.2. Prof. Singh is associated with this journal for the last eight years, and earlier served as an Associate Editor (2019-2024) and a member, Editorial Board (2016-2019).


As an Area Editor, he will be responsible for overseeing the entire review process including screening and assignment of handling editor for the manuscripts submitted primarily in the area of heuristic and metaheuristic techniques.
