Drug peddlers nabbed with 1.3 kg hashish oil in Hyderabad
Hyderabad Task Force (East) arrested five persons, including two peddlers, and seized 1.3 kg of hashish oil. The accused sold the drug at Rs 500 per five-gram bottle. A case was registered at Afzalgunj police station

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (East) team on Wednesday caught five persons who were involved in drug peddling and consumption. The police seized 1,350 grams of hashish oil from them.
Those apprehended are Kethubonia Sanjay Kumar (31) and Abba Naganna (25), both drug peddlers, and three consumers, K Mahesh (31), Shaik Irfan (35) and K Lokesh (19).
According to the police, Sanjay and Naganna were purchasing drugs from different sources and later selling it to local consumers at Rs 500 for a bottle containing five grams of hashish oil.
On information, they were caught. A case was registered against them at Afzalgunj police station.
Two women held for illegal sale of liquor
Hyderabad: The Prohibition and Excise Department sleuths on Tuesday night caught two women who were found selling liquor illegally at Borabanda and seized 173 bottles from them.
Acting on a tip-off, the State Task Force team raided two houses at Borabanda and seized the liquor. The women with the help of some persons were procuring the liquor from shops and selling it at a higher price to earn illegal profits.
A case was registered at Ameerpet P&E station.
Online betting losses drive youth to suicide
Hyderabad: A 22- year-old man who lost money after getting addicted to online betting, died by suicide at his house in Balanagar on Tuesday night.
According to the police, V Ashish, (22), a resident of Phoolbagh, Ferozguda, had been addicted to online betting. He had taken hand loans from several persons and spent it on betting. However, when he could not repay and clear the debts, Ashish hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his house, the Balanagar police said. A case was registered.
