Drunken brawl turns fatal as man kills cousin in Hyderabad’s Borabanda
A drunken fight between two cousins in Borabanda ended with one of them killing the other using a stone. The victim died in hospital. Police have registered a case and arrested the suspect.
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a drunken brawl between two cousins turned fatal when one of them bludgeoned the other to death with a stone at their house in Indira Nagar in Borabanda in Tuesday early hours.
The victim, Basavaraj (30), and the suspect, Premraj, both residents of Indira Nagar, were reportedly intoxicated when a quarrel broke out between them late in the night on Monday at Parvat Nagar. After the argument, the duo returned to their residence and went to sleep.
As per available information, however, in Tuesday early hours, Premraj woke up, took a stone he had brought earlier, and struck Basavaraj on the head, causing grievous injuries.
Family members who noticed Basavaraj in an unconscious condition rushed him to a private hospital in Sanathnagar, where the doctors declared him dead. The Borabanda police have registered a case and taken Premraj into custody.
