EA Games sponsors ‘SHE Shuttle’ in Hyderabad
Cyberabad CP VC Sajjanar thanked EA for their donation for the maintenance of the one SHE Shuttle for a year and urged other companies to come forward and do the same
Hyderabad: Electronic Arts Games India (EA), a gaming company, on Friday, sponsored a SHE Shuttle which was flagged off by Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar along with Deputy Commissioner of Police – Women and Child Safety C Anasuya.
A signature initiative of the Women Forum of the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), the shuttle services provides free and safe commuting for women in the IT corridor. The service is utilised by many women employees of IT companies, including support staff.
“About 2.5 lakh women work in the Cyberabad IT Corridor and their safety is of utmost importance. Cyberabad Police and SCSC have been taking many precautions to bring down crime against women and SHE Shuttle is one of them,” said Sajjanar. He thanked EA for their donation for the maintenance of the one SHE Shuttle for a year and urged other companies to come forward and do the same.
Secretary-General, SCSC, Krishna Yedula, thanked Electronic Arts for the donation on behalf of SCSC. Also present at the launch were Sucharita Singh, Dinesh Reddy, Priya Das and other officials from EA, a press release said.
