Hyderabad: Eastern Naval Command scored a convincing 96-run win over Visakhapatnam City Police in the final of the VDCA Institution League Cricket Championship in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

Batting first, Eastern Naval Command scored 222 for five in 20 overs, with Sanath Kelath (78, 36b), Bhankti S. Nayak (58, 27b) and Saurabh Rana (41 not out, 25b) being the main scorers.


In reply, Visakhapatnam City Police were bowled out for 126 in 14.1 overs, with Sumith Yadav and S. H. Deepak taking three wickets apiece.

The scores: Final: Eastern Naval Command 222/5 in 20 overs (Sanath Kelath 78, Bhankti S. Nayak 58, Saurabh Rana 41 not out; V. Eswar 3/19) beat Visakhapatnam City Police 126 in 14.1 overs (T. Raju 38, M. Santosh Kumar 29; Sumith Yadav 3/8, S. H. Deepak 3/21).
