Hyderabad: In a shocking allegation, TPCC former secretary Paidi Kaushik Reddy on Tuesday alleged that former Minister and BJP leader Eatala Rajender had hatched plans to murder him.

He said Rajender has a long association with criminal politics in the State and was even involved in the killing of former MPTC Balraj in 2014. He ridiculed the allegations of Rajender that murder attempts were being made against the him and stated that none had any reason to attempt murder against Rajender.

Kaushik Reddy is scheduled to join TRS in the presence of TRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday. Speaking to mediapersons here, he questioned as to why people of Huzurabad should suffer by electing Eatala Rajender who was fighting for his personal agenda.

He pointed out that people gave an opportunity to Rajender for nearly 18 years and the latter had done no visible development in the constituency during the period. “As the then Finance Minister, he could have easily released funds for development of the constituency. He had grown personally, but ignored the constituency,” he said.

When asked if he was contesting the Huzurabad bypolls on behalf of TRS, he stated that notwithstanding the TRS candidature, he would strive for victory of TRS party and development of the Huzurabad constituency. He said he was joining TRS for the development of Huzurabad constituency and urged people to give yet another chance to the ruling party in the byelections.

The former Congress leader slammed TPCC president A Revanth Reddy for cheating him and showing no interest in supporting him to contest from Huzurabad constituency on behalf of Congress party.

“The TPCC president himself is not keen to contest the Huzurabad bypolls. Instead, he said that Eatala Rajender would win the election. Is it not tantamount to betrayal of the party?,” he questioned. He said Revanth Reddy was passing the time rather than fighting the election and under his leadership, the Congress party will fade into history in the State.
