Hyderabad: Delhi Public School, Nadergul celebrated Montessori Day on August 31 commemorating the birth anniversary of educator Dr. Maria Montessori. Children were engrossed doing activities. The activities planned helped the children in the development of eye-hand coordination, pincer grip, fine motor skills. Pre-nursery children played balancing games. Nursery children were learned to count in play way method and also they were made to learn the tens and ones concepts. Pre-primary children did the weaving activity with paper which helps in eye-hand coordination and it also improves concentration. Children had a lot of fun while doing these activities based on the use of Montessori materials, the school said.
