Suryapet: ANMs and medical staff have taken up a door-to-door Covid vaccination drive in all the wards in Suryapet town to achieve 100 per cent coverage of eligible population.
Suryapet Municipal Commissioner P Ramanujula Reddy inspected the drive in wards 34 and 25 of the town and convinced some labourers who refused to take the jab. He left the place only after 20 labourers were vaccinated by the medical staff.
He also inquired with the people during his visit to their houses whether they had taken the second dose of vaccine. He also brought to the notice of the medical staff about people who had not been given the jab, and directed them to vaccinate them. He asked the people to cooperate with the municipal authorities to make Suryapet a 100 per cent vaccinated town in the State.
He also inspected the sanitation conditions in the ward and inquired with the residents whether waste collection tractors were coming to their area regularly.
