Hyderabad: The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, organised a webinar on ‘New Directions in NAAC 2020 Framework: Approaches and Challenges’.
In her keynote address, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) adviser Dr Sujatha P Shanbhag referred to the need of a Revised Qualitative Indicator Framework (QIF) for NAAC accreditation.
She stressed the importance of introspection and self-research by an institution. Information management was the key to achieve notable score in NAAC accreditation, she said.
She explained that obtaining above 3.25 score was mandated for the universities offering distance education programmes.
In her plenary talk, NAAC assistant adviser, Dr. Priya Narayanan dwelt on the process involved in Data Validation and Verification (DVV). She underscored transparency and true to detail and the inbuilt objectives of the revised NAAC metrics.
She said the universities have to be doubly sure to follow the Special Operative Procedures (SOPs) while submitting the Self-Study Report.
All the deans, heads of departments, teacher administrators, directors of the regional campuses, members of faculty from Hyderabad and the regional campuses Shillong and Lucknow participated in the webinar.
