Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Economic Offences Wing on Wednesday nabbed eight persons on charges of trying to sell open plots by creating forged property documents at Tellapur village of Ramachandrapuram.

The arrested persons were Mukesh Agarwal, Mohd Wasi Uzzaman, V Nagesh Varma, K Dilleshwar Rao, Y Sanjeeva Reddy, Mohd Dawood Shariff, Mohd Abdul Omer and Mohd Mohsin.

According to the police, the suspects decided to make easy money by illegally grabbing lands lying vacant for a long time and selected a piece of land in Tellapur village.

“They prepared fake identity documents impersonating the plot owner and further made forged documents of the land,” police said, adding that following a complaint, a case was booked and the gang was arrested.
