He said that they will file cases under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens-2007 Act. The Collector made the statement when an elderly woman from Bharat Nagar in Siddipet town has complained to Collector saying that her younger son was harassing her and her husband
The woman Bollam Kanukamma (65) along with her husband Dharmapuri (73) is living in the Bharat Nagar colony. Saying that they earned several properties in their life, Kanukamma said that they have shared them equally among his elder son Ganesh and younger son Sudharshan, keeping some of them with them. However, the elderly woman said her younger son started harassing seeking a whole share in the properties that were held with them. She further complained that Sudharshan even attacked them physically. Stating that they were staying at the house of Ganesh now, they have also lodged a complaint at one town Police Station.
