Kumram Bheem Asifabad: One person was electrocuted and another was injured when they came in contact with an electrified snare meant to kill wild boars at Ainam village in Dahegaon mandal on Wednesday. This is is the second incident in a gap of four days.
Dahegaon Sub-Inspector Raghupathi said the deceased was Pulka Lachanna (45), a resident from Ainam village, and the injured was Sudhakar, also from the same village.
Lachanna died on the spot when he accidentally came in contact with the snare at an agriculture field. Sudhakar, who was with Lachanna received minor injuries when he tried to rescue the farmer. He was shifted to a hospital in Kaghaznagar and his medical condition is learned to be stable. Police booked a case and took up investigations. They suspected local poachers may have set the snare.
It may be recalled that Thalandi Shankar (50) was electrocuted when he accidentally came in contact with an electrified snare set up by poachers to kille wild boars at Yellaram village in Kannepalli mandal of Mancherial district on March 17. He was a resident of Dhampur village in Kannepalli mandal.
The accused poachers Arka Ramesh and Thalandi Bapu were booked and arrested on Sunday.
