Engineering student booked for raping 20-yr-old in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police booked a case against a youngster for allegedly raping a woman at Rahmath Nagar here on Sunday. The suspect Raju (23), an engineering student at a private college in the city, and the 20-year-old woman are from the same neighbourhood.

Police said Raju was allegedly forcing her to marry him, though she did not agree.

On Friday, Raju called her home to discuss the matter and raped her in the absence of his family members. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim, the police registered a case of rape and cheating and took up investigation. Efforts are on to nab the suspect.
