Hyderabad: A fourth-year engineering student is feared to have drowned in the Musi River at Rajendranagar of Hyderabad on Sunday.

Akshit Reddy, who is pursuing B. Tech from a private college, had come to Upparpally along with his three friends Rohit, Pawan and Anil, all residents of Borabanda.

While standing nearby, Akshit slipped into the Musi river and got washed away. Upon receiving information, the Disaster Response Force (DRF) and local police have launched rescue efforts to locate the man.
