BJP State president accused the government officials in Dubbak of behaving like TRS activists
Hyderabad: Telangana BJP President and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar has demanded that the Election Commission conduct a free and fair election in Dubbak on November 3. He alleged that there was ‘selective targeting’ of BJP candidate Raghunandan Rao and party activists in Dubbak constituency by police and local authorities.
“I deplore the over enthusiasm shown by the police while checking the vehicle of Raghunandan Rao on Monday night. The police were targeting opposition leaders while completely ignoring the ruling TRS leaders even when they violate the law,” he alleged. He claimed that the BJP leaders were not allowed to freely campaign for their candidate.
He accused the government officials in Dubbak of behaving like TRS activists. He expressed the apprehension that there seemed to be no chance for a fair election in the Dubbak assembly segment. “I urge the Election Commission to interfere now and implement rules giving no chance for discrimination based on party affiliation,” he said.
The State BJP Chief also said that police were targeting BJP cadre all over the State. “They were not even allowed to express displeasure over the tyrant policies of the ruling party,” he said. He said that soon people of the State will teach a befitting lesson to the TRS government.
