MLA V Venkateswara Rao inspected development works in Kothagudem town on Wednesday.
Kothagudem: MLA Vanama Venkateswara Rao made a surprise inspection of the ongoing development works in Kothagudem town on Wednesday.
He along with Kothagudem Municipality Chairperson K Seetalakshmi visited Post Office centre and other areas in the town where road divider works, central lighting and traffic island works were underway.
Venkateswara Rao directed the contracting agency and the officials to complete the works as per schedule and to maintain quality in the works. He warned that serious action would be taken against concerned persons if quality was compromised.
The MLA said the State government has been giving priority to development of the town and has allotted ample funds for the works. The engineering officials should make regular inspection of the works to ensure quality, he added. Zilla Parishad (ZP) Vice Chairman K Chandrashekhar Rao, Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Chairman Bathula Veeraiah, TRS leader K Durgaprasad and others accompanied the MLA.
Meanwhile, Municipal Chairperson Seetalakshmi and the ZP Chairman Chandrashekhar Rao have conducted door to door campaign in the town seeking graduate voters support to TRS MLC candidate, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy.
They said as an educationist Rajeshwar Reddy made great efforts to address issues related to schools and colleges. The graduate voters should cast their first preferential vote to the TRS nominee to reelect him with huge majority.
