Errabelli condoles demise of Lata Mangeshkar

Singing legend Lata Mangeshkar's demise is a huge loss to the music world. During her long illustrious career, she rendered thousands of songs in over 30 Indian and international languages.

Warangal: Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao has condoled the demise of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.

He paid floral tributes to Lata’s portrait at a small gathering at Jangaon here on Sunday.

“Singing legend Lata Mangeshkar’s demise is a huge loss to the music world. During her long illustrious career, she rendered thousands of songs in over 30 Indian and international languages. She also sang a popular number “Niddura Pora Tammuda” in the Telugu movie ‘Santanam’. She enthralled music lovers with her unparalleled singing talent across languages, regions and countries,” he said.

The Minister said Lata was also an actress, music director and producer. “The news that Lata Mangeshkar is no more is very saddening since the untimely death of our singing legend Balasubramaniam is still fresh in our minds,” Rao said. “I extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family, and pray for peace to her soul,” he added.
