Hyderabad: Hyderabad-headquartered Snaps India News and Photo Agency has achieved a unique European milestone, the first by any contemporary Indian agency.
European Journalists Network (EJN), which is headquartered in Helsinki and acts as the Finnish arm of the Association of European Journalists, an independent, multinational association that defends freedom of information and the press in Europe, has accorded membership to Snaps India, which entails functional access across the globe after establishing an office in the Nordic region.
The Indian agency will cover news of interest to Asia and the sub-continent on behalf of EJN, whose membership has till date been restricted to European media personnel.
Delighted at the EJN recognition, Snaps India News and Photo Agency editor, Mohammad Shamsuddin, stated they will be establishing an office in Helsinki and start operations by the year-end.
He thanked all board members of the Network and especially the efforts of its President, Abdulamir Khatib, and Secretary, Nurer Zaman Bhuiyan, which paved the way for Snaps India going on-board the acclaimed European Journalists Network (EJN).
