Hyderabad: As Hyderabad gears up for its most awaited Numaish, the background work for organizing the hugely popular annual fare at All India Industrial Exhibition Grounds to be held for a period of 45 days from the 1 January 2025, has already commenced.

The Exhibition Society has received 2,500 applications for allotment of stalls and the committee has drawn up plans to allot 2,200 stalls. “A separate allotment committee takes care of the process. Preference is given to the traders who are regularly setting up their stalls,” said B Surender Reddy, Secretary, Exhibition Society.

This year, visitors to the Numaish will have to shell out a little more than previous year with the entry ticket price hiked by Rs.10 from Rs. 40 to Rs. 50.

“Entry for children below the age of five years continues to remain free and those aged above five years will be charged Rs. 50,” said Surender Reddy explaining that the price increase was inevitable in view of escalation in cost of organizing the exhibition. The All India Industrial Exhibition Society use the revenue generated through the event for funding the student education at the educational institutions managed by the society.

Traders from across the country will be participating in the event. Handlooms, readymade apparels, electronic goods, home furnishings and toys will be put on sale here. This apart, one can eat – chat, pani puri, mouth-watering haleem, kebabs and enjoy different rides at recreational avenue.

On weekdays the Numaish will be open until 10.30 pm and on weekends i.e., Saturday and Sunday up till 11 pm. Out of the Numaish, after 11 pm, the people can head to nearby eateries as the Hyderabad police permitted restaurants and eateries to do business till 1 pm.

The Exhibition Society has urged the participating traders to have their required infrastructure in place and set up their stalls before the official inaugural and kick-start business.
