Siddipet: Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao has called upon officials to expedite the railway line works on the Kothapally-Manoharabad sector.

Addressing officials at a review meeting on Monday, the Minister said the government acquired 1,315 of the 1,421 acres needed for the project in Siddipet and 172 of the 174 acres required in Medak district. Saying that the State government had spent Rs 400 crore on land acquisition on the project so far, Harish Rao asked the officials to complete the railway line works by the end of January.

He also directed the officials from different departments in Siddipet and Medak to extend all support to the railway department officials. Collector Siddipet M Hanumantha Rao, Deputy Chief Engineer (Construction) South Central Railway, Sadarama Devarayalu and others were present.
