Experts stress on balanced diet to stay healthy

Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills organised a special assembly on the occasion of World Health Day on April 7. The theme for 2021 is “Building a fairer, healthier world”. It is universal: “Health is Wealth”. It is the utmost important aspect of our existence which can’t be denied.
Students actively participated and displayed the different methods to take care of one’s health. A special guest Aditi Dev Sarkar, a nutritionist was invited to grace and enlighten the gathering. She spoke about some important ways and nutritional food that we have to take during the ongoing Covid pandemic, to increase the immunity system and fight against any disease.
There was a surprise aerobics session conducted for all on board. Everyone enjoyed working out with music. Students learned that being healthy should be part of our lifestyle. Feeling good about oneself and taking care of our health is important for our self-esteem and self-image, the school said. Through the session, students were told that it is supreme to maintain a healthy lifestyle by doing what is right for our body.
Parents, students, and the guest speaker thanked the school management and principal Dr. Sunitha Rao who has organised the much-needed session on health and well-being.
