Yadadri-Bhongir: Several medical experts on Thursday underlined the importance of application of good clinical research including clinical trials and abiding by the ethics and rules in the health sector.

Delivering the keynote address at a workshop jointly conducted by the Department of Pharmacology and Institutional Ethics Committee of AIIMS Bibinagar on its premises, Executive Director of AIIMS, Bibinagar, Prof Vikas Bhatia said that collaborative research by national-level institutions and research publications in robust journals would help the medical fraternity. He also encouraged the participants to make full use of the programme and try to excel and be the best in their research fields.


Dean Prof Rahul Narang emphasized the role of the Institutional Ethics Committee in the conduct of biomedical research and acknowledged the interest shown by the participants. Experts from different institutions including ICMR, JIPMER, and Chettinad University attended the workshop. Dr R Shyamala of Microbiology department also shared her views on clinical research.
