Farmer electrocuted after stepping on live wire in Rajanna-Sircilla
A 52-year-old farmer, Baddi Jayasimha Reddy, died after stepping on a damaged electric wire at his agricultural field in Avunur, Mustabad mandal. He was electrocuted instantly. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident.

Rajanna-Sircilla: A farmer, Baddi Jayasimha Reddy, 52, was electrocuted at his agricultural field in Avunur of Mustabad mandal on Friday evening.
According to villagers, after completing his work, Jayasimha Reddy washed his feet at the pump-set area and walked towards the bank. He accidentally stepped on an electric wire that was supplying power to the pump-set from the starter. The insulation on the wire had been damaged and, without noticing it, he stepped on the exposed section and received a fatal electric shock. He died on the spot.
Other farmers alerted his family, and the police reached the location soon after, registering a case and beginning an investigation.
Jayasimha Reddy is survived by his wife Ratnamma and son Banuchander Reddy.
