Farmer, son injured in axe attack in Jagtial
Mallesham's son Ajay was also attacked when he tried to come to the rescue of his father
Jagtial: A farmer and his son were injured in axe attack by another farmer over suspicion that the latter’s paddy field had got withered away as deliberately a weedicide was sprayed on it, in Chelgal village on Thursday.
According to the police, Chetpally Ganga Reddy and his family members attacked one Mallesham, farmer and resident of Chelgal village with axes alleging that they had sprayed the weedicide to damage their crop. Mallesham’s son Ajay was also attacked when he tried to come to the rescue of his father. Mallesham has been shifted to a hospital. A case has been registered and an investigation was on, said police.
