Nalgonda: TRS leaders on Wednesday conducted programmes to feed the poor across the erstwhile Nalgonda district on the occasion of birthday of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on February 17.
Nalgonda MLA Kancherla Bhupal Reddy launched the programme on the premises of Government General Hospital at Nalgonda. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the welfare schemes and development programmes in the state created an impression in the minds of people of the Country that they should have a leader like Chandrashekhar Rao.
Benefit of any one of the welfare schemes was reaching each and every house in the state. People of other states also want welfare schemes and development programs initiated in Telangana. He exuded confidence that Chandrashekhar Rao would soon become Prime Minister of India with the support of the people.
Zilla Parishad Chairman Banda Narender Reddy said that though our Chief Minister tried for amicable relations with the Centre, Narendra Modi government was intentionally showing discrimination towards Telangana state. The Centre has not extended even a single rupee for irrigation projects including Kaleshwaram Project. The TRS would soon launch its agitation against the Centre’s discrimination in New Delhi. Regional parties, which were against the BJP government, would also be united for the purpose. TRSV leaders distributed fruits to the students, who were coming from different villages to Nalgonda for the colleges, at RTC bus stand at Nalgonda.
In Suryapet, similar programmes were conducted by the TRS leaders at selected six main centres in the town. The TRS leaders distributed fruits to the patients in Community health centers and area hospitals in erstwhile Nalgonda district.
