Hyderabad: How did Mohammed Siraj, the Hyderabadi cricketer, remain strong on field despite the flurry of racial abuses hurled against him in Australia?

The secret behind his nonchalance and determination that helped India pull off a stunning victory in Australia is out now. The consolation and motivation from his fiancee was the secret mantra, that helped the pacer tackle the attack from the most unexpected quarter. Of course, his mother stood with him like a rock encouraging him.

Siraj was already on the brink of depression as his father passed away in November. He wanted to return and join his family members in the hours of grief. “When I called home, they urged me to fulfil my dad’s dream.”

His fiancee supported and motivated him, he said. Incidentally, he also disclosed that he got engaged last year. His friends disclose that the marriage would be this year.

Siraj’s would-be spoke to him about only cricket, when he was feeling down during the Sydney test where he faced racist remarks.

The Hyderabadi cricketer picked up five wickets and played a key role in India’s stunning victory in the fourth Test at the Gabba in Brisbane and helped India clinch the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1.

Incidentally, the speedster obviously is now the owner of a new BMW. He posted his photo in Instagram driving in his new BMW.
