Fifteen posts of judges vacant in Telangana HC, says Union Law Minister
At present 8 posts of permanent and 7 additional judges were vacant, the Minister said, adding that 115 magistrate posts were vacant in the district and other subordinate courts in the State as of November 21
Replying to a question raised by Congress member Anil Kumar Yadav, the Law Minister said 24 permanent and three additional judges were currently working in the State High Court, which was supposed to have 42 judges.
At present 8 posts of permanent and 7 additional judges were vacant, he said, adding that 115 magistrate posts were vacant in the district and other subordinate courts in the State as of November 21.
The central government had released funds of Rs. 448.28 crore to Telangana in the last five years for the construction of infrastructure in the courts, he informed.
