Fire accident at Siddipet foam industry, Rs 12 crore worth loss reported
Fire broke out in EP Foam Sheets Company on Wednesday evening and five fire tenders from Gajwel and other parts of the district were rushed to the industry to douse the fire
Siddipet: A fire broke out at EP Foam Sheets Company at Pamulaparthy village in Markook mandal on Wednesday evening. Within minutes, the fire spread all over the unit while the workers rushed out of the premises. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Five fire tenders from Gajwel and other parts of the district were rushed to the industry to douse the fire. According to officials, short circuit was the cause of the accident.
Director of the company Lakshman Rao said the losses would be to the tune of Rs 12 crore including Rs 7 crore worth raw material. “There is nothing left in the company as everything was reduced to ashes,” he said.
The fire department staff were still working at the site. ACP Gajwel P Narayana and Gajwel Rural Inspector Koteshwara Rao were leading the firemen at the spot.
